Dear friends of PROTEC,
Welcome to our final PROTEC Connect of 2022, which to date
has been a busy and productive 40th anniversary year for the
organisation, together with many of our partners.
In this issue, we bring you exciting news about events and
activities; insights into some of our branches and projects; an
inspiring profile on Fannie Matumba, our GM Operations;
alumni and post-school student updates; fundraising efforts;
and importantly, an invitation to our fundraising golf day,
which will take place in March 2023.
Golf Day – Save the date!
We’ve planned our PROTEC 40th Anniversary Fundraising Golf Day for early next year – extending our anniversary celebrations well into 2023!
The PROTEC Golf Day will take place on 16 March 2023 at the Wanderers Golf Club, Johannesburg.
Fees are R1 000 per player or R4 000 per four ball.
This includes green fees, halfway house vouchers,
prize-giving dinner and soft drinks.
To book, or for more information, please contact Awelani on awelani@protec.org.za or 011 339 1451.
Please join us for a lovely event that will be a friendly and informal get together with donors, supporters, and PROTEC.
This event also offers your organisation the opportunity to boost your brand by sponsoring holes, a par three, the practice green, club entrance patio, drinks cart, green fees, halfway house, and four-ball prizes. If you are interested in sponsoring, please contact Awelani at the above contact details.
We look forward to enjoying your company at our Golf Day! As an encouragement, here’s an entertaining quip from author and avid golfer, PG Wodehouse, “To find a man’s true character, play golf with him.”
