PROTEC relies on funding from private sector sponsors to support the growth and development of technologically skilled learners from disadvantaged communities throughout the country. The drive to secure new funding is critical for our non-profit organization to be able to provide skills and development training to young South Africans who are committed to paving a bright career for themselves.
We are proud to welcome 5 new PROTEC funders on board this year: Anglo Platinum; Dahaher Trust; General Electric; Sabinet and SASRIA.
This new funding to the value of over R6 million, will see the development of several new projects targeted at both Learner and Teacher development in various Provinces.
In addition, long standing funders have increased their sponsorship to help uplift the skills base of our economy. FFS Refiners will be sponsoring two additional PROTEC branches in Katlehong and Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal. Altron has appointed PROTEC to manage a new facility in the Soweto Empowerment Zone, which is being refurbished into a multi media centre that will include a library and a 50 seater computer room.
PROTEC is committed to expand its reach and footprint throughout the country to empower young South Africans to achieve their full potential and pursue successful careers as engineers, scientists, doctors, educators and entrepreneurs.
